Selling a home? Get a free home value report
For one, there’s less competition. We’ve run the stats and we’ve found that there are approximately 25% fewer homes on the market towards the end of the year. This means there are more opportunities for buyers to select your home during the process.
Another great reason to put your home on the market during the holiday is the buyers are typically more ready, qualified, and serious about finding their perfect home.
Fortunately for us, we’ve had a ton of Businesses and Industry coming into the metro Atlanta area. Companies are adding new jobs as well as relocating offices. Not only is Atlanta #1 in the country for People moving in, but January is touted as one of the best months of the year for people to start new jobs. Having your house listed on the market gives them an opportunity to select your home so their transition is seamless. They often make their decisions very quickly based on limited days to scout our Metro Atlanta communities.
Buyers also tend to pay a higher price for a home during this season, because they’re so emotionally involved and in genuine need of finding a home. Tap into making your home as cozy and cheerful during showings. Holiday decorations enhancing your home’s best features and minimum clutter will allow buyers to see their own family celebrating the holidays in your home next year.
Lastly, houses tend to show very well around the holidays. People already have repairs completed and their homes cleaned up for the entertaining season, so houses are polished. Even better, decorations are displayed for amazing curb appeal, so houses really sparkle. Buyers definitely connect to inviting and well cared for properties!
